Hello Viking Families!
We have the Mark Nigh Jamboree this weekend. It will be in University Place at Curtis High School (8425 40th St W University Place, WA 98466)
Our team will have games tentatively Saturday at 1, 3, and 4. Players will need to be there at 12 to get warmed up. They will need to have all their gear including mouthguards and cups. Plan to stay there as there won't really be enough time to leave and get back in between the games.
Parents might want to bring: chairs, heaters, food, warm clothes, umbrellas....
During the season every family will be scheduled to work the table. We will be doing table training at every game on Saturday. If you have not played before, or worked the table before please plan on training at one game. If you have worked the table before and feel comfortable we could use some assistance training new parents. If you have a preference for what game you would like to train/be trained at please let me know.
A little about the set up of the jamboree:
The purpose of this jamboree is to train the referees, get the kids on a field so they can have a "dry run" before games start, and train at the table. Please make sure you are holding yourself and those around you to the high standard of sportsmanship that we will also expect from the players. Many of these referees are our own children so refrain from any sort of behavior that is unbecoming of a parent at a youth sports event.
Let me know if you have any questions.
